As temperatures peaked across Italy
on Friday, weather forecasts predicted that the intense heatwave
was set to continue over the weekend.
Humidity will further grow and temperatures will rise above
35-37°C in central and southern Italy and over 36°C in the
North, said Andrea Garbinato, the editor of www.iLMeteo.it.
The weather is however set to change in parts of northern Italy,
Garbinato explained.
Rain and storms have been forecast across the Alps, in
particular in the east, and in parts of northern Italy and the
Apennines with lower temperatures expected on Sunday.
