AC Milan said Friday that they have
signed Spain captain Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid on a
four-year contract with an option for an additional year.
The 31-year-old forward, who previously had two stints with
Juventus and has also played for Real Madrid and Chelsea, will
wear the number 7 shirt, Milan said.
After helping Spain win Euro 2024, Morata told Sky Sport this
week that: "I still have the best years of my career ahead of me
and I want to give everything for this great club".
Over his career, he has scored 172 goals for the top-flight
clubs he has played for, winning won two UEFA Champions Leagues,
one UEFA Super Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup, two LaLiga titles,
two Copa del Rey trophies, one Supercopa de España, two Serie A
titles, three Italian Cups, two Italian Supercups and one FA
Cup.
He has scored 36 goals in 80 appearances for his national team.
