Former Formula One boss and
billionaire nightclub owner Flavio Briatore is to open a new
high-class pizzeria called Crazy Pizza in Naples next month, the
businessman said Wednesday.
Margheritas will be priced at 17 euros, he said.
The move has split the southern Italian home of the pizza, where
the art of pizza making has earned UNESCO status.
The local association of pizzaioli said "this is something else
entirely from our tradition".
Some aficionados said they feared a rise in prices but other
pizzeria owners said the move might raise their own profiile.
