The summer of 2024 will turn out to
be one of the hottest since Italian meteorological recordings
began in 1800, the National Research Council (CNR) said
Saturday.
After a JUne that came ninth in the all-time rankings and a July
that placed third for highest media temperatures, August will
confirm the trend, said Tuscany Region, CNR and Consorzio Lamma
weatherman Claudio Tei.
"The precipitations expected from Monday will certainly not be
enough to speak of a cooler summer," he said.
"After the four days of bad weather forecast, in fact,
temperatures will return above average, albeit with much more
acceptable values compared to these last few days".
Tei said storms would start hitting the north of Italy Monday
and September would be marked by "more bearable heat".
