A 17-year-old has been arrested in the
Sardinian town of Quartu Sant'Elena for allegedly stabbing his
father, 40, who is reportedly not in serious condition,
investigative sources said on Wednesday.
In order to protect their son, the teen's parents had initially
told the police they were attacked by a stranger who wanted to
steal their moped, the sources said.
The incident, the dynamics of which are still unclear, occurred
in the night between Monday and Tuesday.
The 17-year-old had a discussion with his parents at the end of
which he grabbed a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbed his
father in the back, the sources explained.
The parents called the police, initially claiming the man had
been injured by a robber but subsequently, after the father was
hospitalized, the mother changed their previous version of
events when the teen started damaging the family home's
furniture and threatened to hurt her as well.
The man is currently being treated at the Brotzu hospital in
Cagliari.
On Sunday, a 17-year-old in Paderno Dugnano near Milan confessed
to allegedly killing his parents and his 12-year-old brother.
