A migrant worker from Mali is dead
and another is injured after the scooter they were aboard was
hit on Wednesday by car whose driver did not stop to give
assistance or alert the emergency services.
The deadly collision took place in countryside near to Borgo
Mezzanone, in the southern province of Foggia.
The injured migrant was taken to Foggia's Policlinico hospital
by ambulance.
The car involved in the crash was found abandoned on a roadside
nearby.
Police are working to identify the driver.
