Italians spend 22 hours a day indoors
and this has a significant impact on their health and wellbeing,
according to a report out Sunday.
Italians spend 90% of their time indoors, in their homes,
workplaces, schools, gyms, supermarkets and shops, said the
report from the Italian Academy of Biophilia (AIB).
"The excessive time spent closed up has negative impacts on
quality of life and people's psyscho-physical wellbeing," said
AIB President Rita Trombin, calling for lifestyle changes to
spend more time outdoors.
"Inserting natural elements boosts productivity and mood," she
ssaid.
