Italian exports were up by 6.8% in
value terms in July with respect to the same month in 2023,
while imports were up 6.3%, Istat said on Monday.
The national statistics agency said Italy had a trade surplus of
6,743 million euros in July - 642 million for EU countries and
6,101 million for the rest of the world. Excluding energy, the
trade surplus was 11,535 million euros, Istat said.
The agency said exports were down by 0.5% in July compared to
June, while imports increased 1.1%.
