Italian-French eyewear company
EssilorLuxottica is extending its partnership with social media
giant Meta Platforms with a new long-term cooperation agreement
under which they will be working together for the next decade to
develop a new generation of smart eyewear products,
EssilorLuxottica said in a statement on Tuesday.
"From the cooperation between the two companies, started in
2019, two generations of smart glasses have already been
developed under the Ray-Ban brand", the statement recalled.
The glasses have shown "their potential in everyday life", it
added.
