A reported 86 migrants reached the Sicilian island of Lampedusa on Tuesday after the wooden boat on which they were travelling was rescued by a coast guard cutter.
    The migrants, who said they are citizens of Pakistan, Syria and Egypt, had departed from Sabratha, in Libya.
    They were taken to the local hotspot in the Imbriacola district which is currently hosting 142 people.
    Meanwhile seven migrants were attested by Agrigento police flying squad in separate operations on Lampedusa and in Porto Empedocle in Sicily.
    Six were arrested on Lampedusa right after landing, including three who had violated a pushback decree and three others an expulsion decree by returning to Italy.
    They were all placed under detention at the Imbriacola migrant hotspot.
    Another migrant was arrested at Porto Empedocle for violating an expulsion decree.
    He was placed under house arrest at the hotspot in the city's Caos district.
