A 61-year-old man stabbed to death
his wife at the couple's home in Solero, in the province of
Alessandria, early on Wednesday and then phoned the emergency
services to alert them to the homicide, sources said on
Wednesday.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but there was nothing they could
do except for pronounce the 53-year-old woman to be dead.
It is the latest in an alarming spate of femicides in Italy.
