Italy is down five spots to 46th
place in the latest English language proficiency rankings by Ef
Education First (EF), the most comprehensive global survey of
competence in English.
Italy has been overtaken by Spain, Ukraine, Albania and Russia
and is back to the position it had in 2019, EF said.
Netherlands were top again followed by Norway and Singapore in
the standings, which have placed nations, cities and regions
since its inception in 2011.
Friuli leads the Italian regions, and Verona near Venice is the
top city for English proficiency, EF said.
