Real household income in Italy grew
twice as fast as the OECD average in the second quarter of 2024,
the Paris-based economic club said Wednesday.
On average, according to a press release, in the countries of
the organization it increased by 0.4%, a sharp slowdown compared
to the 1.3% of the previous quarter and compared to a real GDP
per capita that grew in the same period by 0.3%.
Of the 15 countries for which data are available, 8 recorded an
increase, while seven recorded a decrease.
Among the G7 economies, real household income per capita grew in
most countries, but contracted in Canada and Germany.
The United Kingdom and Italy recorded the highest increases, the
OECD noted, 1.1% and 1.0% respectively, unchanged compared to
the previous quarter.
