Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove is much better after collapsing during his side's Serie A home match against champions Inter on Sunday, the club's General Manager Alessandro Ferrari said after visiting the player in Florence's Careggi hospital on Monday.
"We are much happier and more relaxed than we were yesterday," Ferrari said.
"We saw the lad this morning, we spoke to him, he is lucid, alert, with his (usual) desire to laugh and joke.
"The situation obviously has to be kept under control... but the lad is fine".
Ferrari added that the 22-year-old had spoken to his team mates and convinced them to take the field for Wednesday's Italian Cup tie against Empoli.
Sunday's match against Inter was suspended after Bove collapsed.
The Florence club has said that initial cardiological and neurological tests "have ruled out acute damage to the central nervous system and the cardio-respiratory system".
It said Monday that further tests will be done to find out what caused the collapse.
