A reported 260 security officials
were wounded during the course of demonstrations held in 2024,
up 195.5% with respect to the previous year, the national public
safety and security committee meeting chaired by Interior
Minisiter Matteo Piantedosi said on Tuesday.
Overall, 11,556 high-profile protests were organized in the
first 11 months of 2024, up 12.1% compared to the same period
last year.
Problems of relevance were recorded in 299 cases, down 14.8%,
said the gathering.
