The body of one of two climbers
missing on the Gran Sasso since before Christmas was found on
the Abruzzo massif Friday.
The lifeless body of one of the two mountaineers from Romagna
who have been missing since last Sunday after slipping into a
gully on Gran Sasso, was found during the overflight of the area
this morning by the Cnsas helicopter, rescuers said.
At the moment it has not been possible to ascertain the identity
of the body found.
The pair, Cristian Gualdi and Luca Perazzini, both from
Sant'Arcangelo di Romagna, went missing at this altitude,
rescuers said.
Dog units are working on the spot to search for the other
missing person.
