A 15-year-old boy was killed in a car
crash at Catanzaro in Calabria on Thursday night, local sources
said Friday.
Two cars crashed into each other in a tunnel leading to the Sila
mountans, they said.
Six other young people were injured, some of them seriously, in
the road accident that occurred in the Piterà area of
;;Catanzaro, in a tunnel section of the state road 109, which
leads to the Sila.
The two cars involved were an Audi 4 and a Lancia Y.
The firefighters of the Catanzaro Provincial Command extracted
the injured, who were taken to hospital by 118 personnel, from
the wreckage of the cars they were traveling in.
