Fog has been forecast on Tuesday
evening as Italians will be ringing in the New Year while
temperatures are expected to drop by next Monday, the Epiphany
national holiday, Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist of
www.iLMeteo.it said on Tuesday.
Overall, the end of 2024 will be sunny and dry while there will
be an incursion of the Azores Anti-cyclone into the Bel Paese at
the beginning of 2025, noted Tedici.
Sunny weather has been forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday in the
mountains in northern Italy, with temperatures above average for
this time of the year, and in the Adriatic regions, with clouds
and light rain forecast in Liguria and southern Sardinia.
The first rain and storms of 2025 have been forecast between
Thursday and Friday on the Alps, the main islands, as well as
parts of Tuscany and Lazio.
Temperatures are expected to drop by January 6, the Epiphany
national holiday, said the meteorologist.
Overall, Turin will be welcoming the New Year with a temperature
of approximately 1°C; Milan, Bologna and Venice will be foggy
with temperatures around 2-3°C; Florence will ring in the New
Year with a cloudy night at around 4°C, among other cities, as
2024, the "hottest year in history" will draw to an end, said
Tedici.
