Carabinieri police in the Sardinian
city of Cagliari have arrested one of the two sons of an elderly
couple who were found dead on December 5 after being allegedly
poisoned, investigative sources said Tuesday.
Claudio Gulisano, 44, has been charged with double murder and is
currently detained in the city's prison of Uta.
His parents, 79-year-old Luigi Gulisano and 82-year-old Marisa
Dessì, were found dead in their home after being allegedly
poisoned with a substance yet to be determined by forensic
tests, the investigative sources said.
The couple's other son Davide, 46, is not under investigation.
Claudio Gulisano was arrested overnight after being questioned
for over six hours.
