The 2025 edition of the Women's Six Nations rugby championship kicks off on March 22 and the Italian women's national team will make its debut on Sunday 23 in York, on the pitch of England, the reigning champions.
The Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) top brass, the technical staff and the players were guests at the Macron Campus in Bologna, home of the brand that has been a technical partner of the FIR since 2017, to present the path that captain Elisa Giordano and her teammates will face starting next weekend.
The presentation of the Women's Six Nations took place in the 'Sala dei Sogni' of the Macron Campus: among those present were Antonella Gualandri, vice-president of the FIR, Fabio Roselli, coach of the national team, Sofia Stefan, vice-captain of the Azzurre, Giammaria Manghi, coordinator of Sports Policies of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the 'host' Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron.
The Women's Six Nations will receive significant television coverage this year: in addition to the presence of Sky, all the matches of the Italian women's team will also be simulcast live and free-to-air on Rai state broadcaster channels.
"We can't wait to cheer on our women's national team in this Six Nations - said FIR vice president Antonella Gualandri -.

The Azzurre are working hard to get there at their best and to excite us.

Thanks to Macron for hosting this launch event and for all the support. We are happy to be able to present the 2025 edition of the Six Nations in Emilia-Romagna, not far from Parma, where Italy plays its home games, a sign of strategic collaboration, in line with the federal projects. In an important year like this, which for the Azzurre will also lead to the World Cup, this takes on even more meaning".
The women's national rugby team, after the debut against England, number one in the world ranking, will host Ireland at the Lanfranchi Stadium in Parma (March 30, 4 pm).
On April 13, Scotland-Italy will take place at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh, then in Parma, six days later, the Azzurre will host France.
Always at the Emilian stadium on Saturday 26 April, the last match of the tournament will be against Wales.
