Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti
said Tuesday the European Commission's warning that Italy's 2024
budget is not full in line with EU recommendations was expected
and now it was time to move forward with healthy realism.
"We welcome the Commission's judgement," he said.
"Everything as expected: despite the heritage of the negative
impact of energy and the superbonus we will go forward with
healthy realism" said the minister.
The Europe Commission on Tuesday issued warnings on the 2024
budgets of Italy and eight other countries, and said Italian
spending would grow more than needed next year.
The invitation to Italy is to "stand ready" to adopt the necessary measures to bring it fully into line with recommendations.
