Italy's trade balance in the first
ten months of the year registered a surplus of 24.9 billion
euro, ISTAT said on Friday.
This compares to a trade deficit of 36.2 billion euro in the
same period in 2022.
In October exports grew by 3.8% month-on-month, driven by a 6.5%
increase in exports to non-EU countries, added the national
statistics institute.
Exports to the EU instead rose by 1.4% over September.
In the same month imports rose by 2.8%.
Year-on-year in October exports increased by 3.0% in value and
decreased by 0.4% in volume.
The estimated trade balance in October registered a surplus of
nearly 4.7 billion euro, ISTAT said.
