The General Commissioner for Italy at
Expo 2025 Osaka has extended the deadline for submitting
sponsorship proposals for the Italian Pavilion.
Proposals for technical sponsorship can now be submitted until
January 31, 2024, while the deadline for other kinds of
sponsorships can be submitted until February 28, 2024.
News of the Italian Pavilion's Groundbreaking Ceremony held in
Yumeshima Island on December 19 received significant media
attention, resulting in an an increased interest by Italian and
Japanese companies in sponsorship opportunities.
As of now, Italy is the only participating nation to have
inaugurated its construction site in 2023.
"Expo 2025 Osaka is a unique opportunity to gain visibility in
the Japanese and Asian markets," explained Commissioner General
Ambassador Mario Vattani. "The attention by Japanese and Italian
media confirms a strong interest not only in our Expo project,
but in the whole Italian productive system" he added.
A recent research by Milan Politechnic University shows that
participation in Expo 2025 Osaka could lead to an increase of
20% in Italian exports to the Japanese market and to the Asian
region, for a value of over €600 million per year. In 2022, East
Asia accounted for 29% of world consumption and this figure is
due to rise.
"With 30 million visitors expected, the next Expo - which will
take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 - will be a
valuable opportunity to make ourselves better known in
high-growth markets where Made in Italy has strong potential. It
is an opportunity not to be missed," concluded Vattani.
