INPS said Thursday that 7,649,869 new
employment contracts were activated in the private sector,
excluding the domestic and agricultural fields, in the first 11
months of 2023, while 6,805,822 were terminated, for a net
increase of 844,047 labour contracts.
That compares to a net rise of 743,658 jobs in the equivalent
period in 2022.
The pensions and social-security agency said that, in the
January-November period in 2023, permanent jobs accounted for
over half of the net rise, increasing by 435,904.
