Italian mortgage rates fell again in
March, with the average APR dropping to 4.21% from 4.31% in
February, the Bank of Italy said on Friday.
Mortgage rates started to come down at the end of 2023 in
anticipation of an easing of the European Central Bank's
monetary policy.
Rates had risen sharply due to the ECB's interest-rate hikes
designed to bring down inflation.
