Stellantis has communicated to the
unions the suspension of production activities relating to the
body shops at Mirafiori from December 2 to 17, which will be
followed by the collective closure of the plant from December 18
to January 5, the result of an agreement signed in recent weeks
in relation to the end-of-year holidays.
The company explained that the decision is due to "the
persistent situation of uncertainty in the sales of electric
cars in various European markets that represent 97% of
Mirafiori's production and of luxury cars in some non-European
countries such as China and the United States". .
