Luigi Chiatti, known as the
"Monster of Foligno" in connection with his convictions for
killing Simone Allegretti, 4, and Lorenzo Paolucci, 13, was
transferred from prison in Prato to a residential detention
center outside Tuscany on Friday.
The location of the center was not disclosed, but it is a
center for prisoners who have been deemed to need psychiatric
treatment, where Chiatti will be held for at least three years.
Chiatti has been in prison since August 1993 following his
arrest in connection with the killing of Paolucci.
