The number of people in Italy aged 50
or over who are not vaccinated for COVID-19 has dropped below
the two million mark, falling by 155,268 from 2,017,973 to
1,862,705 in seven days, according to a government report
released on Friday.
The government has made it obligatory for all over-50s to be
vaccinated for the coronavirus by February 15.
The report said 848,871 people in Italy aged 50 to 59 were still
not vaccinated for COVID.
There are 523,578 unvaccinated in the 60-69 age group, 322,787
aged 70 to 79 and 167,469 over 80.
