Between seven and 10 million
Ukrainian migrants are feared to be set to leave Ukraine amid an
inability to keep warm this winter, Defence Minister Guido
Crosetto said on Italian TV Wednesday.
"It is understandable that the countries of the East are
nervous, the war has lasted for months and is also bringing
civilians to their knees. I am very concerned about these
bombings concerning the possibility of civilians getting through
the winter. The tactic is very clear: create 'winter migrants'
because they will not have the opportunity to warm up," said
Crosetto during the recording of Porta a Porta on RaiUno.
"There is talk - he added - of millions of people who may need
to leave Ukraine, from 7 to 10 million according to the most
pessimistic. It's a tactic that creates nervousness, irritation
and hatred."
