The Louise Michel, an NGO-run migrant
rescue boat funded by British street artist Banksy, was detained
at Lampedusa Sunday on three charges including being overloaded
and carrying out too many rescues, sources said Monday.
It was also accused of fluting orders from Italian authorities.
Three rescues carried out autonomously in the Libyan and Maltese
Sar area, failure to comply with the Italian authorities'
instructions for the port of Trapani and an excessive number of
people on board, given that a maximum of 60 shipwrecked people
could be loaded onto the ship are the three charges that led to
the administrative detention notified to the captain of the ship
