A traffic policeman shot twice by a
Moroccan national who had grabbed a Carabinere's pistol in a
scuffle which ended with the migrant's shooting death is in
serious but not life-threatening condition, hospital sources
said Monday.
Alex Frusti, hit in the lung and foot by the Moroccan who
shouted God is Great before attacking the police, is in
intensive care after surgery in a hospital near Vicenza after
the incident at Fara Vicentino.
Local Mayor Maria Teresa Sperotto told ANSA that the Moroccan
had been wandering the streets for a long time, dressed in a
tunic and barefoot.
