A woman was crushed to death by a
gale-felled tree in Brianza Monday as a wave of bad weather
continued to whip the north of Italy.
The 58-year-old died after being crushed by a tree, which had
fallen due to bad weather, while she was walking in Lissone
(Monza), at around 3.50 p.m..
Some passers-by immediately called for help, but when rescuers
arrived on the scene, they could do nothing to save her. The
fire brigade worked for a long time to extract the body stuck
under the trunk.
