Italy is set for more bad weather as
an Atlantic storm front heads to the Bel Paese, forecaster
Antonio Sanò said Wednesday.
Wednesday will see very little sunshine and afternoon rain above
all in Tyrrhenian regions and the northwest, while Thursday will
see the arrival of a storm front in the north "with increasingly
abundant precipitation in western Liguria, northern Piedmont,
Alpine and pre-Alpine areas, and towards evening in Veneto and
Friuli", said Sanò, founder of the website.iLMeteo.it..
Early on Friday the bad weather front will reach Tuscany, Lazio
and Umbria, while skies will clear in the north starting in the
northwest.
A sharp dip in temperatures wil bring snow over low ground, said
Sanò.
Italy was battered by extreme weather Tuesday and both the river
Seveso and Lake Como broke their banks, while Venice was saved
from an unsually high acqua alta by the Mose flood barriers.
The upcoming wave of bad weather will not be as bad.
