Italians are more satisfied with
their lives than the EU average, according to new data released
by Eurostat.
Italy scored 7.2 for life satisfaction on average on a scale
from 0 (very dissatisfied) to 10 (very satisfied) in 2022, just
above the EU average of 7.1, it said.
The rating was highest in Austria (7.9), Finland, Poland and
Romania (7.7 each), Belgium and the Netherlands (both at 7.6)
and lowest in Bulgaria (5.6), Germany (6.5) and Greece (6.7),
Eurostat said.
In all countries except Bulgaria, average ratings of life
satisfaction were above 6, meaning that most people declared
themselves satisfied rather than dissatisfied.
