A man was arrested Tuesday after
killing his wife and daughter at Cisterna di Latina south of
Rome.
The bodies of the two, according to initial information, were
found in a house in the San Valentino district.
The police and 118 were on the scene. The man suspected of the
double murder was reportedly detained in Latina by agents of the
flying squad.
Latina is a city of around 100,000 people founded in 1932 by
Mussolini in the reclaimed Pontine Marshes.
It is one of Lazio's three provincial capitals along with Rome
and Rieti.
Cisterna di Latina, the site of a major WWII battle, is about
10km nearer Rome than Latina, which is 55km from the capital.
