Police arrested a young man in Turin
on Wednesday in relation to the machete attack by two men on
Monday afternoon that left the 24-year-old survivor needing to
have the lower part of his leg amputated.
Pietro Costanzia di Costigliole, aged 23, was arrested on
charges of attempted murder after denying all knowledge of the
incident.
The attack occurred while the man was out for a walk with his
girlfriend in the northwestern city.
The reasons for the ambush remain unclear.
