Giacomo Bozzoli, a businessman
convicted of the murder of his foundry-owner uncle Mario Bozzoli
on October 8, 2015, is in an Italian jail after his 11 days as
fugitive ended when police found him hiding under a bed in his
villa by Lake Garda in the town Soiano.
Mario Bozzoli, 50, was killed by being thrown into the furnace
of the foundry.
Giacomo Bozzoli had gone to Spain his partner and young son
before his life sentence became definitive at the start the
month.
The woman and the child subsequently returned to Italy without
him.
"We realized that he was in the Soiano villa and we found him
hidden in the drawer of a double bed," said Brescia Prosecutor
Francesco Prete.
"He had 50,000 euros in a bag.
"We know that he went to Spain with his partner and son, then
returned to Italy. "We believe that he had no intention of
turning himself in.
"He proclaimed his innocence and said he wants to prove it".
