Pope Francis on Thursday wrapped up
his three-day visit to Indonesia, the world's most populous
Muslim-majority nation, which opened his four-country tour of
South-East Asia and Oceania, by urging the population to "make
noise".
"My visit with you is ending and I want to express my joyous
gratitude for the exquisite welcome I was given", the pontiff
said after a mass celebrated at Jakarta's stadium.
He thanked the Indonesian president Joko Widodo, who was
present, authorities and security forces as well as "the entire
Indonesian population", urging them to "make noise".
The pontiff is scheduled to leave the country on Friday to
travel to Papua New Guinea, the second lef of his long tour of
South-East Asia and Oceania.
