Judicial authorities on Monday opened
an instigation to suicide probe into the death of a 15-year-old
who was found dead in an abandoned farmhouse in Montignano near
the Marche city of Senigallia.
The teen had been reported missing by his parents on Sunday
night after he had stolen the gun legally detained by his
father, a municipal police officer, and left the family home.
The probe, against person or persons unknown, was opened by
prosecutors in the nearby city of Ancona.
State authorities ordered an autopsy and the seizure of the
minor's phone which will be analysed by Carabinieri police who
suspect the teen could have been bullied.
The teen's body was discovered on Monday morning after
Carabinieri police organized a search operation in the city and
nearby countryside.
Local schools had also been alerted not to let students leave
the premises over fears the teen could have posed a threat to
others.
