One person was killed after an
explosion in a warehouse in Bologna Wednesday.
The violent explosion occurred around 5:20 pm in a factory in
via Persicetana Vecchia, in the Borgo Panigale area of
;;Bologna. It is a warehouse of 'Toyota Material Handling', a
multinational that deals with goods handling.
A compressor is believed to have blown up and the explosion
caused part of the warehouse to collapse.
Firefighters, 118 emergency crews with a helicopter and the
police rushed to the scene.
Initial information suggests there is one victim and at least
three seriously injured, and checks are underway to understand
if there are people under the rubble.
