A snooping gang that allegedly hacked
police data bases to illegally harvest information on business,
political and showbiz figures said that they had discredited the
whole of Italy with their reports, according to police wiretaps
released Sunday.
"With the reports that we have in hand we can discredit all of
Italy. Now we have found the photos... the guys from the
Prosecutor's Office found them for me... of Amara and Mazzagatti
with forty thousand euros on the table," said hackers Nunzio
Calamucci and Giulio Cornelli, two of six men arrested Friday.
The group revolved around the company Equalize of
Enrico Pazzali, the president of Fondazione Fiera Milano, under
investigation, who also dealt with the lawyer Piero Amara.
Pazzali was one of two alleged ringleaders in the organisation
along with ex supercop Carmine Gallo.
Two years ago Amara denounced an alleged "Hungary Lodge" at the
judiciary's self-governing
body, the Supreme Council of Magistrates (CSM).
