The results of an autopsy carried out
on the body of a 15-year-old have questioned whether she took
her own life earlier this month near the Sicilian city of Enna,
investigative sources said on Wednesday.
The teen, a suspected victim of revenge porn, allegedly hanged
herself in her house in the countryside near Enna in Sicily,
police initially said.
The autopsy found signs of a rope around her neck, abdomen and
feet.
The teen's hands were however free, her cervical bone had not
been broken and her shoes were clean, even though she would have
needed to walk in a field to hang herself, investigative sources
said, saying such findings were "not normal" in the event of a
suicide.
The girl's schoolmates told investigators there were rumours
that intimate photos and videos of her had been circulating in
chat groups, backing the initial hypothesis that she had taken
her life.
