A forty-year-old man is being
investigated for the murder of his partner, a 27-year-old woman
found hanged in the shower of their home in Caldiero, in the
province of Verona Sunday, judicial sources said Tuesday.
It was the man himself who alerted the Carabinieri of the
discovery.
According to his story, the woman committed suicide using the
shower hose.
The Verona Prosecutor's Office has registered the man to allow
the appointment of consultants for the autopsy.
Some people informed of the facts have already been interviewed
and the seizure of the home has been ordered.
The victim was named as Cristina Pugliese, originally from
Marina di Gioiosa Ionica (Reggio Calabria), who leaves behind a
5-year-old girl.
The unnamed man has been put into the register of suspects for
the crime of voluntary homicide, sources said.
