The transport ministry has sent a
letter to labour unions that are organizing strikes on Thursday
and Friday, December 12 and 13, calling for their "annulment or
reduction", the ministry said Monday.
The ministry added that Deputy Premier and Transport Minister
Matteo Salvini appealed to the unions' "sense of responsibility"
ahead of the holiday travel period.
