Philosopher Leonardo Caffo got four
years in jail for injuring his ex girlfriend on Tuesday.
Caffo, 36, an expert in animal studies, was found guilty of
aggravated mistreatment and serious injury against his
ex-partner.
Caffo said he was "very sorry" and hoped that "there will be no
more violence against women".
He said: "It's okay to educate one to hit a thousand, I was hit.
