Southern Italy on Thursday topped a
Corriere della Sera and iLMeteo.it climate ranking of Italian
cities based on the livability of their weather.
Cagliari in Sardinia came top in 2024, followed by Naples,
Salerno, Brindisi and Agrigento, according to the fourth edition
of the climate index published by the daily newspaper Corriere
della Sera in cooperation with weather site iLMeteo.it which
analysed Italy's main cities.
Northern Italy underperformed in the poll due to "extreme events
and heavy rain" registered last year, iLMeteo.it meteorologist
Lorenzo Tedici told Corriere.
In particular, Milan recorded 111 days of rain, up 58% on the
previous year.
