Top Italian news agency ANSA on
Tuesday signed a collaboration accord with Algerian news agency
APS to exchange content with the aim of enriching their
international news coverage.
The accord, signed in the presence of the Italian ambassador to
Algiers, Giovanni Pugliese, enables the agencies to develop
commercial packages supporting their countries' institutional
and business communications, among other things.
Ambassador Pugliese said the deal "is an important accord that
boost the exchange of information between Italy and Algeria,
improving mutual knowledge and at the same time, it will support
Italian businesses operating in Algeria and Algerian ones
operating in Italy".
ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri said "this new accord between APS
and ANSA, as well as guaranteeing an exchange of certified news
between Algeria and Italy, is a first step in developing
projects by the two agencies in support of the communications of
the respective institutions and businesses in the two countries.
The two agencies will share their most successful respective
projects and initiatives in which they have recently invested,
in order to place experiences and results in common".
APS Director-General Samir Gaid underscored that "the signing of
this cooperation accord comes in the wake of the State visit to
Algeria of his Excellency the President of the Italian Republic,
Sergio Mattarella. Our accord is part of the development of
bilateral relations and reinforcement of cooperation based on
exchange and sharing and on the friendly and historic ties
between our two countries."
