Paul Anthony Ginsborg, a British-born
Italian historian, has died at the age of 76, sources said on
Wednesday.
His last position was at the University of Florence, the city
where he lived.
Among other things, Ginsborg was a lead figure of the
'Girotondi' (Ring o' Roses) movement that in 2002 called for
transparency in public life and protested against the justice
reforms of the government of the day led by ex-premier Silvio
Berlusconi.
