Sardinian actress and showgirl Elisabetta Canalis is to star at a night of exhibition kickboxing at Turin's Venaria Palace on Saturday June 18, organisers said Tuesday.
Canalis, 43, who dated Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney from 2009 to 2011, has been practising the sport for years.
Hers is set to be the main event at the 'The Night of Kick and Punch' at the Venaria Reale former Savoy royal hunting lodge.
Canalis said she still gets in as much practice as she can whether in Milan or Los Angeles her two homes.
"Kickboxing means balance, stability and also a whole lot of sweat for me," said Canalis, whose trim physique currently graces a TV ad for mineral water.
"I've been constantly training for many years and I love this discipline because it requires, as well as the physical effort, so much concentration on yourself and the opponent".
Canalis, who has been patron of the Black Tie Edition for the last three of its 12 editions, is now stepping into the ring to fight professional Rachele Muratori over three rounds of kicks to the head, body and legs.
"I can't wait for the 18th of June, and to get fighting," she said.
