Top Italian architect Stefano Boeri
said his conscience was clear but the situation was
"unbelievable" in a probe into suspected bid rigging over the
BEIC European information and culture library project in Milan,
in which he and another internationally famous colleague, Cino
Zucchi, are suspected of handing work to their former students,
the architects Raffaele Lunati and Giancarlo Floridi.
"I am calm and confirm my complete willingness to cooperate with
the competent authorities to provide all the information in my
possession in order to clarify a situation that I find
unbelievable", said starchitect Boeri, 66, creator of the iconic
Vertical Forest in Milan.
"By virtue of this," he added, "it is not possible for me to
provide further statements at the moment.
